Institute of Directors' chairman Lady (Barbara) Judge, 69, has trademarked the name 'Lady Barbara' with the intellectual property office. 
She's in preliminary talks, I am told, with a Chinese fashion house about launching her own homeware range. Surely a clothing line would be a more marketable option. A collection based on soignee Lady J's customary uniform – ruffled collared shirts paired with smackable trousers – would fly off the pegs.
