Chris Powell the favourite to replace Nigel Pearson as permanent Derby manager
 

Stand-in boss Powell is in charge for Saturday's game at Reading with Pearson’s departure expected to be finalised in the next few days.
Lawyers representing the former Leicester boss and Derby’s multi-millionaire owner Mel Morris are currently thrashing out a deal following an explosive row beween the pair on Monday that led to the 53-year-old manager being sent home.
Powell was in charge for Tuesday’s win over Cardiff and victory over Reading would significantly enhance his claims.
