Chris Coleman urges former Crystal Palace team-mate Gareth Southgate to be bold as England caretaker boss 



Chris Coleman has advised his former Crystal Palace team-mate Gareth Southgate to be bold during his four-game stint as England manager to avoid feeling like he is keeping the seat warm for someone else.
The Wales boss also believes Southgate, who shied away from the job in the summer, will warm to the idea once he leads the national side out at Wembley, recalling how his start in management came in similar fashion.
Coleman was handed the Fulham reins on a caretaker basis aged 32 in 2003 and despite initially holding reservations changed his mind to stay in the role for four years.
