Children's services in Leicester making 'progress' after being found inadequate earlier this year



Children's services in Leicester is making "significant progress" according to the latest report from Ofsted.
Inspectors visited the children's services department at Leicester City Council last month, and have just published a letter outlining their findings from the visit.
This was the fifth monitoring visit by Ofsted since the service was found to be "inadequate" in March last year.
The most recent inspection focused particularly on the services the local authority provides for the children it looks after.
