Children pay tribute to their 'hero' dad Hull police officer Robert 'Bob' Billaney



A family have paid tribute to their "hero" of a father who was one of Hull's best-known detectives.
Robert 'Bob' Billaney, 63, served for 25 years in Humberside Police and spent most of his career working as a detective constable for the force.
Doctors discovered a tumour in his brain and lungs just four weeks before he died. After passing away at the end of last month, his children, James and Laura, said his role as an officer was something he "loved".
