Children escape after late night chip pan fire at home in Grimsby



Children managed to escape from a home in Grimsby's East Marsh after a chip pan fire late last night (October 15).
A crew from Humberside Fire and Rescue Service were called to the property on Stanley Street at about 11.27pm and they rescued a man and a dog.
A woman and children managed to evacuate the house themselves prior to the arrival of the fire service.
The man suffered smoke inhalation and was left in the care of paramedics.
Fire crew used two breathing apparatus and a PPV fan for ventilation.
