Child sex abuse inquiry plunged into chaos after most senior lawyer resigns
 

The most senior lawyer on the national probe into child sexual abuse has resigned, plunging the embattled probe further into crisis.
Ben Emmerson QC stepped down from his role as counsel to the embattled Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse this evening after two years in the post, chairwoman Prof Alexis Jay confirmed.
