Chief Constable 'extremely disappointed' over handling of Nicola Roberts' death
 

The Chief Constable of Cleveland Police has said he is “extremely disappointed” at “significant failings” made by officers handling the death of a mum-of-three.
Iain Spittal appeared at Teesside Coroner’s Court today to speak on behalf of the force after the mishandling of the death of 39-year-old Nicola Roberts.
Speaking from a statement, he said he was “aware the officers investigating did not consider that the circumstances were suspicious” when they arrived at the home of Ms Roberts’s abusive ex-partner and former Manchester United footballer Paul Wratten, where she died.
