Chesterfield shopper’s CCTV call after store bag theft

A shopper who had her handbag snatched from a Chesterfield supermarket is angry the store has no CCTV cameras that could help police catch the thief.
Vanessa Defries, 56, of Holymoorside had her Michael Kors handbag stolen from her car as she left Morrison’s superstore on Chatsworth Road.
She said: “I only turned my back for a few seconds and in that time someone had been into my car and taken it.
“I didn’t even notice until the bank called later to say there had been unusual activity on my cards.”
