'Chemo made me sick, but I feel fine now': Michelle trailblazes for NHS with cancer wonderdrug Nivolumab
 

A WOMAN who has never smoked is fighting lung cancer with a new drug which was only approved for NHS use yesterday.
Michelle Hanlon’s chemotherapy was so harsh it left her feeling desperately ill long afterwards.
However, 30-year-old Michelle was one of the lucky ones.
Thanks to private medical insurance she got a new drug, nivolumab , which left her feeling healthier and planning for the future.
And yesterday the Scottish Medicine Consortium approved the life-extending drug for NHS patients with non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer, the advanced disease’s most common form.
