Ched Evans: I was young and stupid but I committed no crime... so I can never say sorry directly 



On his second night in prison, Ched Evans heard a metallic clink on the floor.
The footballer, who on Friday was found not guilty of raping a 19-year-old woman following a retrial, went over to inspect and found razor blades had been passed under his cell door.
'I thought it was to protect myself,' he says. 'It was only later I realised it was so I could cut my own wrists.'
That, along with signing the Sex Offender's Register, was the start of two and half years in prison for a crime he did not commit for a man who was earning around £20,000-a-week at the time of his 2012 conviction.
