Ched Evans backed by Chesterfield as League One club reveal 'delight' after the striker is cleared of rape at retrial  

Chesterfield have revealed their 'delight' after striker Ched Evans was dramatically cleared of raping a teenage waitress after a retrial.
The former Wales international has already served half of a five-year prison sentence he was given after he was originally convicted of the crime in 2012.
But after a retrial was ordered when his initial conviction was overturned, Evans was found not guilty by a jury on Friday - and the League One club's chief executive has welcomed the news.
