Cheating headteacher is banned from the classroom



A Wirral headteacher was banned from the profession for changing pupils’ answers on a maths exam before their papers were marked.
Paul Prescott then tried to blame other members of staff at Brookdale Primary School in Greasby for falsifying the Year 6 students’ SATs results.
He was caught after a random forensic testing of the school’s May 2015 exam papers by the Standards and Testing Agency (STA) showed some had been changed.
The 41-year-old even claimed the forensic officials may have changed the answers - but a professional panel called such claims “fanciful”.
