Charity goes from rag puddings to riches thanks to hungry diners



Diners are tucking into a Lancashire delicacy to help a cancer charity go from rags to riches.
To celebrate the re-launch of its Fitzy's Bar at the Best Western Higher Trapp Hotel in Simonstone rag pudding was added to the menu.
And for every one sold management donated £1 to the Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
And in six months running up to the end of August diners scoffed their way through 629 of the puds, mincemeat and onion encased in a suet crust, equating to a generous helping of £629 for Rosemere which, among its ongoing local projects, are the new chemotherapy unit at Burnley General... read more
