Chaos at Charlton: As fans prepare to go on the march again, why are former Premier League club in such a mess?



Eighteenth in League One, winless since August, dwindling attendances, despised owners who are still absent and furious supporters going back on the march.
If Charlton’s long-suffering supporters thought relegation from the Championship last season would spell the end of their troubles - or at least some much-needed respite - they have been sadly mistaken.
Their club remains in chaos and this week’s announcement by fan group Coalition Against Roland Duchatelet (CARD) that protests against the owners will resume on October 15 is a sad echo of last season’s strife.
