Chanterlands Avenue child accosting 'a misunderstanding' say police as suspect released



A man who was said to have "grabbed" an 11-year-old boy before leading him away from a shop has been freed without charge after his arrest today.
Police said the incident, at Sainsbury's on Chanterlands Avenue on Sunday, was a "misunderstanding" and are no longer investigating. They also said the incident had been reported in "good faith".
Officers issued an urgent appeal yesterday after a man was alleged to have grabbed the boy's arm before trying to walk off with him outside Sainsbury's on Chanterlands Avenue on Sunday.
