Champion jump jockey Richard Johnson savouring return to Hereford



Richard Johnson will enthusiastically chase winners at his local track after welcoming the return of Hereford racecourse four years after the jumps track was controversially closed by operators Arena Racecourse Company.
The champion jump jockey has five rides on Thursday headed by Charlie Longsdon-trained No No Mac .
Hereford is where Johnson rode his first winner on Rusty Bridge in April 1994.
The refurbished restaurant at the track has been named after the gelding in honour of his place in local sporting history.
