Chaddesden thief stole bank card and used it ELEVEN times in 30 minutes



A thief from Chaddesden stole a handbag from a car parked at Derby’s Meteor Centre and then used a contactless bank card he found inside to buy goods 11 times in half an hour.
A court heard how Christopher Walton smashed a window to get into the vehicle, which was parked in the car park to Pets at Home. He took the bag which and ran off.
Lee Shepherd, prosecuting at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court, said: “The victim had left the bag in the car then went into Pets at Home at around 5pm.
