Casualty freed from car that had flipped on to its roof near Melton



A person was injured when the car they were travelling in ended up on its roof near Burton Lazars yesterday morning (Sunday).
Two fire crews, one from Melton and the other from Oakham, plus a heavy rescue unit from Oakham, were called to the scene just after 8.30am.
They found one car was upside down on the grass verge with one person trapped. Firefighters freed the casualty, who was then taken by ambulance to hospital for treatment.
The road traffic collision happened about a mile from the village, on the A606.
