Cardiff move into automatic spots in the Championship with win at Barnsley as playoff chasers Derby also record victory against struggling QPR



Cardiff overtook Chris Wilder's Sheffield United to move into second place in the Championship table after a late Callum Paterson goal snatched a 1-0 victory for the Bluebirds at Barnsley. 
Derby are up to sixth after Tom Lawrence scored his first goal for the club in a 2-0 victory against QPR, who have now failed to win away in the league since January.
The Wales international struck early in the second half after Matej Vydra's ninth goal of the season put Gary Rowett's team ahead in first half stoppage time.
