Daniel Pudil's second-half strike ensured Cardiff did not make it two wins from two under new boss Neil Warnock as Sheffield Wednesday came from behind to earn a share of the spoils.
The Bluebirds had looked on course for a second successive win and climb out of the relegation zone when Peter Whittingham’s free-kick gave them an early lead.
But Wednesday were the better side after the break – having created little with 70 per cent of possession during the opening 45 minutes – and picked up a point when Pudil drove home a Gary Hooper cross.
