Canoeist flown to hospital in serious condition after falling into River Dee at Llangollen

A canoeist who fell in the River Dee was airlifted to hospital in a serious condition.
Fire crews, ambulances and the police were called to the river near Wide Horizons Bryntysilio Centre shortly after 11am on Sunday.
The man, from North Wales and in his late 20s, had suffered a suspected cardiac arrest.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service sent a water rescue unit and a fire appliance to the scene, in Llangollen .
A Wales Air Ambulance was also requested and landed nearby.
