Campaigners chant 'save our beds' in protest over closure of inpatient ward at Rothbury Hospital
 

Protesters armed with placards and megaphones took part in a demonstration to save a Northumberland hospital ward.
Campaigners gathered outside Rothbury Community Hospital on Wednesday after its 12-bed inpatient ward was temporarily closed for three months.
Hospital bosses closed the facility saying it was “underused”, meaning the hospital no longer offers beds for patients to receive round-the-clock treatment.
Protesters marched towards the entrance of the hospital chanting “save our beds” while waving banners which read “we love Rothbury Hospital”.
