Campaign launched to save Mid Wales recycling sites



0 Comments Welshpool Town Council’s planning committee has voted unanimously to oppose the plans announced earlier this week and will call a public meeting in November.
Councillors have written to Powys County Council opposing any changes to the centres in Welshpool and Newtown and are also contacting all local town and community councils in Montgomeryshire which would be affected by the proposals.
Powys County Council has announced consultation on options to save money by reducing the number or opening hours of the household waste recycling centres at Welshpool and Newtown.
