Cage chief guilty of obstructing police



THE international director of advocacy group Cage was found guilty yesterday of obstructing counter-terrorism police by refusing to hand over his mobile phone and laptop at Heathrow airport.
Muhammad Rabbani, 36, was arrested on November 20 last year under the Terrorism Act after he refused to give police passwords to his devices, claiming that it was “against his civil rights.”
He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months at Westminister Magistrates’ court and ordered to pay £620 in costs.
