Caernarfon man Dafydd Jones remembered as the 'smiling face' on the school library lorry
 

Heartfelt tributes have been paid to a much-loved community figure who passed away this week.
Great grandfather Dafydd Jones of Cae Mur, Caernarfon died on Sunday following a short illness.
The 74 year-old worked for many years as a lorry driver for Esso at the former refinery on Victoria Dock.
His position earned him the affectionate nickname ‘Dafydd Esso’ on the streets of Caernarfon.
However, Mr Jones will be fondly remembered by generations of children and adults as the “smiling face” behind the wheel of the council’s mobile library ‘lorry’.
