Caernarfon castle's 'Weeping window' poppy display opens to the public



A poignant sculpture crafted in honour of Welsh soldiers who died during the First World War has opened at Caernarfon castle.
The giant artwork entitled the 'Weeping Window' features a blanket of 6,000 handmade ceramic poppies which cascaded from the ramparts toward the ground below.
Some of the poppies on display in Caernarfon have come from another sculpture which went on show at the Tower of London in 2014 to mark 100 years since the beginning of the Great War.
Artist Paul Cummins assembled the sculpture and said it had taken nearly six days to install.
