Bus firm EYMS turns 90: 'We were once indigo and primrose'



EYMS is celebrating its 90th birthday today. Tareq Haddad speaks to the firm's chairman Peter Shipp about the company's history.
It started with a humble fleet of 34 buses shuttling the public between Anlaby Common, Elloughton and Withernsea.
Now, East Yorkshire Motor Services (EYMS) has over 300 buses in its fleet, travels over nine million miles a year and provides a vital service for more than 60,000 people every single day.
And today, the iconic bus service celebrates its 90th birthday.
