Burst water pipe brings traffic chaos to Bristol Street, as some residents cut-off



A burst water main brought traffic chaos to one of Birmingham’s busiest roads - with some residents having their supplies cut off.
Huge amounts of water flooded the area after a pipe sited along Bristol Street suffered ‘accidental’ damage this morning.
The leak partly flooded the road, with an area between the A4540 and S mallbrook Queensway being sealed off.
A spokeswoman for Severn Trent Water said some customers were affected by the damage, which was accidentally caused by unrelated works.
