Burnt-out Samsung tablet caused flight to be diverted to Manchester

This is the overheating Samsung tablet left under a seat which forced the diversion of a Delta Airlines flight into Manchester Airport .
Emergency services met the Amsterdam-bound flight on Sunday over reports of ‘smoke in the cabin’.
It has now emerged that flight DL138, which was on its way from Detroit, was diverted due to a Samsung tablet which had become jammed under a seat in premium class, which was reported in The Aviation Herald.
Left beneath the seat cover, the tablet and foam then started smoking and passengers reported a strange odour.
