Burglars steal ring containing ashes of much-loved aunt
 

Cruel burglars stole a precious ring containing the ashes of a heartbroken mum’s late aunt.
Joanne Cookson, 43, from Blackley , died in April after suffering a stroke.
Her ashes were crystallised to form a blue glass centrepiece which was fixed to a solid gold band.
The ring was worn by her niece Laura Tunnicliffe - but was stolen alongside other jewellery during a break-in at the mum-of-two’s home in Middleton .
