Burglar ransacked bungalows while owners were away on holiday



A SERIAL burglar targeted the bungalows of people who were away on holiday and stole treasured personal belongings that could not be replaced.
The raids would have been "extremely distressing" for the people who were told about the break-ins while they were away, a court heard.
Darren Stamp, 42, of Searby Road, Scunthorpe, admitted three burglary offences and asked for another burglary matter to be considered.
David Baines, prosecuting, told Grimsby Crown Court that all the raids were "pre-planned and targeted" while the occupants were away on holiday.
