Burglar broke into Derby church in 'revenge' attack

A Derby man was told by a judge he would "not reach his 50th birthday" if he did not sort his life out after breaking into a city church.
Daniel Lewis was "off his face" on drugs when he smashed a window and broke into St Alkmund's Church where he goes once a week to socialise.
A court heard how he carried out the attempted burglary at the church, in Kedleston Road, to "get back" at volunteers who he said were too intrusive when they asked him questions about his life.
