Building work starting to turn Caverswall Castle into a spa hotel



Thirty jobs are set to be created under plans to turn a castle into a spa hotel.
Building work on the rural retreat is expected to start at the 17th century Caverswall Castle within weeks.
The transformation - featuring 28 en-suite bedrooms and 17 reception rooms - is expected to cost £500,000.
It marks the end of a decade of planning wrangles between castle owner Robin MacDonald and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council.
The venue will only be used as a spa hotel, with weddings and functions not being held.
