Britons splurging on takeaway in front of X Factor help Domino's Pizza to a bigger slice of profits



Brexit is not deterring Britons from splurging on a piping hot slice of pizza, as Domino's Pizza raised its annual profit forecast with increasing sales driven by new store openings and the X Factor finale.
The American food chain reported a 18.2 per cent rise in sales across the franchise to £321.8million in the 13 weeks to 24 December, 'slightly above' its expectations. 
This comes following a poor performance last year, which saw a slowdown in Domino's like-for-like sales in the UK, 3.9 per cent to £220.9m due to a weakened pound and squeezed household finances.
