Britain’s Johanna Konta into world top 10 after reaching China Open final
 

Johanna Konta moved into the world top 10 for the first time after beating Madison Keys to reach the China Open final.
The 25-year-old British number one defeated American eighth seed Keys 7-6 (7-1) 4-6 6-4 in a semi-final match that lasted two hours, 35 minutes.
The last British woman to make the world’s top 10 was Jo Durie in 1984 and Konta did it by forcing Keys into making 47 unforced errors compared to 32 from the British number one.
