Brics Summit: Xi argues for multilateral politics and jaw-jaw not war-war



CHINA’S President Xi Jinping opened the Brics summit in Xiamen yesterday with a call to strengthen the United Nations and solve problems via dialogue rather than war.
Mr Xi said the Brics countries — Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa — had a role to play in “reinforcing multilateralism and working for greater democracy in international relations while opposing hegemonism and power politics.”
