Brexit power: FTSE 100 smashes through 6,900 to reach 14-month high
 

The FTSE 100 surged by more than one per cent to surged past the 6,900 mark in Thursday morning trading, the highest level since June 2015.
A rally in oil prices helped buoy the index after the announcement of a deal for a cut to oil production for the first time in eight years.
The Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) is set to cap daily production at a range of 32.5 million to 33 million barrels.
The news sparked a six per cent jump in the cost of Brent Crude to around $48 a barrel.
