Breast screening saved my life: Denise urges women not to miss vital checks



A routine mammogram has helped save the life of a popular north Cumbrian woman, whose breast cancer would otherwise have gone undetected.
Denise Broughton, a high profile Slimming World consultant and former shopkeeper from Wigton, is currently awaiting treatment after being diagnosed just a few weeks ago.
Although still in shock, she is already speaking out in the hope it will encourage others to check their breasts regularly and attend the vital screening tests when called.
