Brave schoolgirl chops off her hair to help vandal-hit primary school
 

A pupil at a primary school targeted by vandals has made a heart-warming donation.
Hayden Tweedy, who is just eight-years-old, took the bold move to chop her blonde locks in a bid to help raise money for Morpeth Road Primary Academy, in Blyth.
Her efforts raised £448 for the school after vandals left the school with an £8,000 repair bill after smashing the windscreens and wing mirrors of three mini-buses, breaking the windows in a treehouse, damaging the outdoor classroom and setting the teaching greenhouse on fire.
