Boss of Norman Bettison's publishing firm described Liverpool as "ghastly"



The boss of the publisher due to release Norman Bettison’s book on Hillsborough has previously described Liverpool as “ghastly”.
Hillsborough Untold, written by the former Merseyside chief constable, will be published by Biteback Publishing in November.
Iain Dale, the MD of the firm, which has also published books by former S*n editor Kelvin McKenzie, acquired the “world rights” to Mr Bettison’s book.
He wrote a blog post titled “Labour conference diary: Why Liverpool is ghastly” after the party conference in 2011.
