A massage parlour owner who secretly put hydrochloric acid in his employee’s face creams has avoided jail.
Dae Ik Kim had thought the victim, a receptionist at his parlour in Brisbane, was ‘more than just a friend’ – even though he knew she was married.
He had known the couple in South Korea, and had convinced them to move to Australia. They moved in April 2015.
When she rejected his advances and said she would quit her job, he apparently felt betrayed.
