An incredible 12 goals were scored in a rampant Dortmund display to make it the highest-scoring match in European competition.
A Marcos Reus hat-trick contributed to Dortmund’s comfortable win as they surpassed the 11 goals scored in Monaco’s 8-3 win over Deportivo La Coruna 13 years ago.
Surprisingly, the away side took the lead after 10 minutes through Aleksandar Prijovic, before the scores were reversed as Shinji Kagawa scored two in two minutes shortly after.
