Boring Boris fails to 'let the lion roar' as tepid Brexit speech falls flat at Tory conference



Boris Johnson tried to cheer up depressed Tory activists yesterday as he insisted Brexit was a time to “let the British lion roar”.
But instead of the anticipated barnstorming performance, BoJo was very dialled down.
The controversial Foreign Secretary even parked his leadership ambitions for the day as he gave a public show of support for Theresa May.
He used his keynote speech at the Tory party conference in Manchester to praise the Prime Minister’s “steadfastness” over the process of leaving the EU.
