Bogus 'winning' lottery ticket scam victims lives have been ruined, say police



Victims of a bogus 'winning' lottery ticket scam have had their lives ruined, according to the detective who is leading the race to find the gang behind it.
At least seven people have handed over a total of more than £100,000 in cash and jewellery to a pair of conmen who told them the tickets were big winners.
However, when the victims – most of whom are said to elderly, vulnerable or ill – checked them they turned out to be worthless.
