Block of flats where homeless sleep set to be demolished



Homeless men have been sleeping rough in the doorways of a block of flats in Scunthorpe soon to demolished .
Now Ongo Homes, the owners of the Albert Marson Court,off Cottage Beck Road,is to take action.
A spokeswoman for the Scunthorpe-based housing association confirmed staff had noticed areas in the complex where people had been sleeping rough.
She said those areas were to be boarded up.
The 38 flats and ground floor shops and snooker hall built 40 years ago are to be demolished due to structural defects and replaced by 27 three and four-bedroom houses.
