Birmingham's new 20mph speed limits enforced from Monday
Motorists are being warned that new 20 mph speed limits will be enforced across large swathes of inner city Birmingham from Monday.
The new speed limit markings and signs have already been put in place and from October 19 will be legally enforceable and speeding drivers may be pulled over by police.
It is the latest step in the city’s 20 is plenty campaign to lower speed limits on residential and side roads, improve safety and encourage more people to walk or cycle.
