Birmingham pub bombings victims families astonished at new DNA evidence breakthrough
 

Pub bombing campaigners have expressed their disbelief after reports new DNA evidence has reportedly been discovered by police.
The discovery by a £1.6million review codenamed Operation Castors was revealed in a top-level memo seen by the Sunday Mirror.
It involved 16 officers and forensic experts, examined more than 18,000 items including exhibits, reports and statements.
But none of this was known to the families or their lawyers.
