Birmingham gym members fly out to help Rohingya refugees after raising £23k



BIRMINGHAM gym members who raised more than £23,000 for persecuted Rohingya refugees travelled to Bangladesh to join the aid effort.
More than 600,000 Rohingya Muslim refugees have fled from Myanmar, formerly Burma, which has been accused of targeting them for ethnic cleansing.
In August Rohingya militants attacked 30 Burmese security posts and an army base.
Since then human rights groups claim Burma’s military has carried out atrocities including mass rape against the stateless Rohingya during so-called clearance operations.
