Birmingham Christmas Parade is cancelled again
 

Christmas has been cancelled in Birmingham again – or at least the main parade has.
Last year the Christmas Parade was scrapped because of city council budget cuts and it won’t be returning in 2016.
The council tried to find a sponsor to foot the £50,000 bill but has failed to find the funding.

The colourful procession has traditionally accompanied the switch-on of the Christmas lights and heralded the start of the festive season in the city.
